DESCRIPTION:National Preparedness Month isn’t over yet! The San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Services\, in partnership with San Bernardino County Libraries\, invites the community to Family Preparedness Day on Saturday\, Sept. 26\, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Highland Branch Library\, 7863 Central Ave. in Highland. \n  \nThis free\, family-friendly event will give residents an opportunity to move through interactive preparedness tables and learn practical skills that can help before\, during and after an emergency. \n  \nPlanned activities include learning how to build a 72-hour emergency kit\, how to use a fire extinguisher\, Hands-Only CPR and basic first aid\, and how to sign up for emergency alerts on your phone\, including the Ready SB County app. \nFamilies are encouraged to bring the kids\, too.
