National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month!
Last September, the Line and Bridge Fires forced more than 100,000 San Bernardino County residents to evacuate and required thousands of first responders, County departments, and community partners to act quickly. From moving families and pets to safety, to opening shelters and providing critical resources, these fires were a powerful reminder that emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere, and often without warning. The San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Services invites YOU to join us each week as we spotlight practical steps to get prepared – starting with yourself and extending to your family, neighborhood, and community.
Each week will feature:
Sept 8–12 | Self Preparedness – Take the first step: alerts, go-bag, and a plan.
Sept 15–19 | Family Preparedness – Plan together, protect together.
Sept 22–26 | Community Preparedness – Neighbors helping neighbors build resilience.
Sept 29–Oct 3 | Ready SB County – Tools and resources at your fingertips.
Oct 13–17 | Great ShakeOut – Earthquake Preparedness.
Follow along with us, take small steps, and get prepared together.
